Tecnogas cooker parts in detail
- Gas taps — our highest-volume Tecnogas part. The spline wears gradually from heat and grease, and once worn there is no repair.
- Knob sets — the plastic embrittles over the years. The tap shaft size decides the knob, not its appearance.
- Oven door springs and hinges — always replaced in pairs. Replacing one leaves the other carrying double the load, and the fault returns.
- Inner glass — a heat-resistant pane cut to the oven, not ordinary or commercial toughened glass.
- Burners and injectors — the ports corrode, so the flame stays yellow even after cleaning.
- Thermocouple — a safety part. We match and replace it, and we refuse any request to bypass it.
- Ignition (electrode + generator) — the electrode gets wet during cleaning, the generator fails from damp.
- Thermostat and oven fan — jointly responsible for even heat.
Original versus compatible parts
Not every part has to be original, and we will tell you so honestly:
- Safety parts (thermocouple, gas valve) — we always recommend original, and we do not compromise here.
- Mechanical parts (taps, springs, hinges) — a good compatible part does the same job with a comparable life at a lower price.
- Glass and supports — what matters is the measurement and the heat rating, not the name on the part.
In every case we tell you the source of the part before fitting, and it appears on the invoice with the center's warranty.
Inspection and diagnosis cost
Inspection and diagnosis are free when the repair goes ahead. For an inspection only, the call-out and diagnosis fee is 250 EGP, deducted in full from the repair if you proceed later.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know the right tap size?
Not by appearance — by the knob shaft size and the burner count. Send a photo from behind the fascia on WhatsApp and we will identify it.
Are knobs sold singly or as a set?
Both are available, but if two or more have gone we recommend the set so colour and finish stay consistent.
Do both door springs really need replacing?
Yes. A new spring is stronger than an old one, so fitting only one pulls the door to one side and it sags again.
Is inner glass available for any oven?
We supply it to measurement after removing and measuring the door. We do not rely on "the model size", because dimensions vary between production years.
Will you fit a part I supply myself?
The technician will inspect it and tell you honestly whether it is suitable. If we fit it, the warranty covers our labour but not the part.
Do you stock Tecnogas water heater parts?
Yes — heat exchanger, water diaphragm, gas valve and flow sensor for the 6 and 10 litre units.
