Tecnogas oven repair hotline
Call 16062 or WhatsApp 01050887010 with a photo of the oven interior, door open. If the complaint is about heat, tell us which: burning underneath? Raw on top? Or not heating at all? That distinction decides whether it is the thermostat, the fan, or a heating element.
Telling Tecnogas oven symptoms apart before you call
| What you see | More likely | Less likely |
|---|---|---|
| Burns underneath, raw on top | The distribution fan has stopped | The thermostat |
| Never reaches temperature | Thermostat out of calibration, or element | The fan |
| Heat escaping, door hot outside | Door seal, or the door not closing flush | The thermostat |
| Door crooked or leaving a gap | Stretched spring or twisted hinge | The glass |
| Inner glass cracked | Thermal shock or weight on the door | A manufacturing flaw |
| Loud noise from behind the oven | The fan motor | The grill |
Most common Tecnogas oven faults and their causes
- A sagging door: by far the commonest. The spring loses tension gradually, the door then bears on the hinge until it twists. We replace both springs and re-align the hinges.
- Shattered inner glass: thermal shock — a wet tray on hot glass, or cleaning with cold water while the oven is warm. We fit a pane cut to measure and check the remaining panes.
- Uneven heat: on a fan model, a stopped fan lets heat pool at the bottom. On a non-fan model, browning from below is normal behaviour for the size, not a fault.
- The oven burns: the thermostat reads lower than reality and keeps the burner running. Calibration fixes this in most cases.
- Only half the grill lights: the grill path is blocked with grease — it takes more rising fat than any other burner.
- Heat escaping: the door seal has hardened or split, or the door is not fully closing because of the spring.
Signs your Tecnogas oven needs a technician
You can feel heat around the door while it is closed.
Cakes or bread colour unevenly from one side.
The door needs extra pressure to latch.
Ticking or whining from behind the oven while it runs.
The grill lights on one side only.
Steam collecting between the glass panes.
How we repair a Tecnogas oven — step by step
- 1
Measure the real temperature
with an independent thermometer and compare it to the dial — this settles the thermostat question.
- 2

both springs, both hinges, the seal, and the latch.
- 3
Check the fan
(on fan models): noise, rotation, and its connection.
- 4
Decide the part
and quote it before replacing anything.
- 5
Fit and calibrate
, then re-measure the temperature after the repair.
- 6
Invoice with a written warranty.

Frequently asked questions
My oven door is crooked — do I replace the whole door?
Rarely. In most cases it is the spring and hinge, and the door itself is sound.
Why do you replace both springs together?
Because a new spring is stronger than an old one. Fit only one and the door pulls to that side and sags again within months.
The inner glass broke — can the oven run without it?
No. The inner pane is part of the heat insulation and the door's safety. Running without it raises gas consumption and exposes the outer door to high heat.
My oven has no fan and browns from below — is that a fault?
On smaller ovens that is normal behaviour. We calibrate the thermostat and advise on shelf position, and we check for an actual fault if one exists.
Do you actually measure oven temperature?
Yes, with an independent thermometer before and after the repair, so the calibration is a number rather than a guess.
