Kitchen Appliance Installation — Right the First Time, in Writing

The store's delivery van drops the appliance off — it doesn't install it. And that difference is the difference between an appliance that lives 15 years and one whose first fault happens on installation day. A specialist installer arrives the same day, installs to safety standards, runs an electronic leak test, and demonstrates everything working before leaving.

Why correct installation protects you from many later faults

1

Here is something we see every day: the first fault in an appliance's life happens on its installation day. A loose hose leaking from day one, an unlevel stove burning unevenly, an induction hob on an undersized circuit tripping the breaker, a hood without an external vent blowing smoke back into the kitchen. And many people believe "the delivery guy installed it" — delivery is one thing; installation is another thing entirely.

2

And one small detail makes a big difference: a new appliance should not be connected to the old hose and regulator. Hoses crack from the inside without showing it, and an old regulator can feed the wrong pressure to a new appliance. Our technician always checks both — and if their condition isn't guaranteed, he advises replacing them during the install, at the part price with no added labor.

3

Before leaving, there is a fixed handover protocol: an electronic leak test on every connection, every burner and function demonstrated in front of you, the appliance leveled — then an official tax invoice with the installation details. That invoice is not just paper: it is your proof of correct installation if you ever need the manufacturer warranty.

Pro vs DIY

Specialist Installer vs. "The Delivery Guy Installed It"

The store's van puts the appliance in place and leaves — that's delivery, not installation. The difference shows within the first week:

Hose and regulator
FixStove installation

Both checked — a new appliance never goes on a cracked old hose

Install-with-delivery

The old hose stays as-is — "it works" until the first leak

Install-with-delivery

A lighter held to the joint — small leaks never show

Frequently asked about installation

How much does stove installation cost?
Free-standing stove installation starts from around EGP 800 including the hose and regulator check, leak test and full demonstration. Built-in installation (hob or oven) starts from around EGP 1,500 depending on the cavity preparation and connections. Island hoods cost more as ceiling work with two technicians. Figures are approximate and confirmed before booking — and if the hose or regulator needs replacing, you pay only the part price with no added labor.
The store's delivery van put the appliance in place — does that count as installed?
No — and this is the most common misunderstanding we see. Delivery means the appliance reached your kitchen door. Installation means: gas or electrical hookup to safety standards, leveling, a leak test, and testing every function. The delivery crew are not installers, and a hose connected "quickly" is exactly the source of the leaks we repair every day.
Do you connect the new appliance to the old hose and regulator?
We check them first — if they are in good condition and not too old, they can stay. But if the hose is approaching a year old or shows any cracking, we strongly advise replacing it during the install: hoses crack from the inside without showing it, and most leaks we see come from an old hose connected to a new appliance. You pay only the part price.
Do you install an appliance bought elsewhere?
Yes, absolutely. There is no requirement to buy from us. We install any new appliance regardless of source.
How long does installation take?
Free-standing stove: 30-60 minutes. Built-in stove/oven: 1-2 hours. Wall hood: 1-2 hours. Island hood: 3-4 hours. Induction hob: 1-2 hours. All in the same day.
Is there a warranty on installation?
Yes, a written installation warranty. If anything goes wrong due to installation (not the appliance itself), we fix it for free.
Do you remove the old appliance?
Yes — removing the old appliance is part of the installation service. We remove it carefully without damaging the counter or wall.
Is there an emergency install service?
If you need installation on a specific day (the appliance is being delivered), book us the day before to lock the time. For genuine urgencies, call 16062 and we'll try to dispatch the soonest technician.
Does installation void the manufacturer warranty?
No — the opposite. Installation by certified technicians preserves the manufacturer warranty. Ad-hoc installation is what causes brands to refuse the warranty.
After installation, what if a fault appears in the appliance?
If the fault is caused by installation: we fix it for free (installation warranty). If it is in the appliance itself: that is the manufacturer's responsibility, but we can also fix it at regular service rates.
